Luxury Cars: How I Afforded One

I don’t make a ton of money. I mean, I’m comfortable. It’s just me. If I had as spouse and a few kids, I might be a little concerned but my biggest monthly expense at the moment is my mortgage and even that isn’t as much as what some of my friends pay in rent.

Anyway, why am I telling you this? Because I have a kick ass car. That’s right. If you saw me driving my fancy luxury car, you might be like, who’s that guy and how can he afford that car with his salary? Someone actually asked me that at work once. My direct supervisor told me he knew my salary and didn’t know how I could afford such a nice car.

Here’s the truth, you guys. It’s used. That’s it. That’s how I can afford it. I searched all the used cars for sale on https://www.carcanuck.ca. Next thing I also did was look for some cheap car insurance, specially very cheap car insurance no deposit. I recommend getting quotes online, like a website like this: http://www.verycheapcarinsurancenodeposit.org

No deposit car insurance is insurance you basically don’t have to pay a deposit for. So it ends up cheaper than regular car insurance. Still car insurance is expensive for a luxury car, even if the insurance is no deposit car insurance.

As I see it, there are 2 kinds of people in this world. Those who are cool with used cars and those who aren’t. I’ve always had luck with used cars and can’t imagine having a monthly car payment that’s more than $500. I get it, though. Some people haven’t had luck with used cars and I can sort of understand how being your car’s first owner is comforting. Maybe I’m just cheap, I dunno.

Those of us who know that used cars are boss are already ahead of the game when it comes to saving money. That’s why I decided to investigate buying a used luxury car. I thought, well, you could buy that brand new sedan. Or, for roughly the same amount of money, you can get that awesome upscale model with the heated seats and the fancy hood ornament.

And that’s exactly what I did. Yes, I loved the seat warmers, but I’m being a little flip about the reasons I bought the car. Truth is, it’s a high quality car that runs like a dream. And I know it’ll last a long time because it’s so well made.

I would never be able to afford the newest model of my car. Well, I can’t say “never” but I will say that even if I could, I don’t know that I’d be able to bring myself to do it. I mean, that’s a lot of money that would be better spent elsewhere. But a used top of the line car? That’s a no-brainer.
